I lead the structure behind the work, bringing visibility, discipline, and control to how projects are executed.
My background began in construction, supporting preconstruction, bidding, and safety compliance on public and infrastructure projects. That experience shaped how I approach scope, documentation, and compliance from the start.
From there, I moved into real estate analysis and transaction management, gaining a clear understanding of how projects are evaluated, financed, and approved. Working through due diligence, valuation, and contract coordination built a foundation for making informed decisions before work begins.
Over time, my work has centered on systems. I design and implement financial, operational, and technical frameworks that create visibility and control. This includes job costing, reporting, process design, and workflow automation that allow teams to operate with clarity and consistency.
At Confident Clarity, I lead the systems that support the work. We define scope clearly, track performance accurately, and maintain discipline throughout execution.
The goal is simple. Clear scope. Clean execution. Strong finish.
Ben Mies, Co-Founder/ COO
I work in both development and construction, managing large, complex projects from early feasibility through execution.
My experience began in the Caribbean, leading projects in commercial, residential, and agricultural sectors. That time shaped how I think about land, risk, and long-term value. I later returned home to Chattanooga to continue building in a market I know well.
Earlier in my path, I helped build a civil construction company from the ground up and grew it into a primary contractor supporting ongoing development work.
Today, I direct large-scale heavy civil operations here in Chattanooga, leading some of the most impactful site development work across the region.
My work requires coordination among developers, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and stakeholders at every level. Whether in the field, in front of a city council, or across the table in negotiations, the objective is consistent. Understand the work fully. Execute it right the first time.
My background is in engineering, which shapes how I approach problems. Logical. Structured. Focused on performance.
Confident Clarity is a natural extension of that approach.

Chad Norman, Director of Construction
Chad leads field execution at Confident Clarity.
His experience spans civil work, paving, concrete, landscape, environmental restoration, and specialty site scopes, shaped through the companies he has grown and led. That range gives him a clear view of how site work comes together, from early earthwork through the final phase that defines how a job finishes.
He understands the operational side of the business and what it takes to keep work aligned behind the scenes. But he is happiest in the field, solving difficult problems, leading crews, and carrying the work through as conditions change.
As Director of Construction, Chad carries defined scope into action. He leads sequencing, coordination, accountability, and execution through completion.
The objective stays simple. Execute cleanly. Finish strong.
